yep, bind running on linux box for testing purposes, with delegations to the
DDNS server.

Hmm, this is where i get confused.
If i point the DC to use the DDNS and not Bind, then it has no look up
facility, since DDNS is only being used for the 6 delegated zones and
nothing else. No clients will be set to register in DNS since all have
static IP. DHCP is used for a few devices, but again i dont want them
registering in the DNS.
Why cant i run both BIND and DDNS on windows server for AD?
Or is this a just Microsoft making it awkward unless your a full on MS site,
ie MS for everything, including DNS.
Some one out there must be running AD like this, I know Yale do, since i
have their set up guide, which has been invalueble(sp).
Sorry if this last bit seems a bit negative but after more trial upgrades
than i can shake a stick at, i just want to resolve this issue.
