Re: Upgrading to R2 from Windows Server 2003 SP2

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I'd recommend obtaining the SP2 integrated R2 release, so as not to potentially "downgrade" your servers. I'd also recommend consulting your TAM or Sales contact at Microsoft.

But...now I see that there are 2 versions of Windows server 2003 R2.
One version is with sp1 included.
One version is with sp2 included.

We have the first one, Windows Server 2003 R2 with sp1 included (2 CDs)

Our Servers are already at SP2.

Can I proceed anyway with disc 2 of windows server 2003 r2 with sp1 included
in order to install FSR (File Server Resource manager) on top of my already
SP2 servers?

Please advise.
