Increase capacity of a standard logical drive - cluster configurat

I hope you can help me with this topic.
I can't find answers nowhere.
Environment:
2 nodes MSCS Windows Server 2003 SP1.
IBM DS4400 (old FastT700) Fibre Channel Storage.
Storage Manager 9.12.
We need to increase the capacity of one array in order to present the same
disk (y:/) to the operating system, with a bigger size.
For that we buyed some new fc-hdd and we inserted it in our enclosures.
Now we have the chance to:
1) add capacity to the array in the forms of new fc-hdd
2) increase the capacity of the array
We already done part 1 wich can be used if we need to create another logical
drive in the same array.
But this is not the case, we just want to increase the capacity of the same
array in order to have a bigger disk, same letter for the os.
I was thinking that maybe I can try to increase capacity and then to use
diskpart.exe to expand the size.
Do you think it's a possible way?
The other possibilities that I see is to:
1) delete the cluster phisical disk resourse that own the logical drive that
will be deleted.
2) use disk administrator to delete any partitions and to unassign drive
letters that are associates with the logical drives.
3) restart both nodes to remove configuration informations.
4) delete the logical drive from storage manager.
5) recreate a bigger array with new fc-hdd.
6) restore from a backup
The problem is that increase capacity is supported only when the logical
drive is recognized by the host operating system as a dynamic disk.
With cluster we have,of course, basic disks.
Can you please give me a feedback?
Thank you very much fot your time.
Kind regards.
Franco
