MSCS does not load balance!

So to make it very clear to me, there is no way to make MSCS load balance
between two servers, unless I use DFS and replicating data to another
storage?

MSCS is failover only. To Load Balance a file server you would use DFS
with
multiple leaves. This does mean replicating the data however.

Ok, thank you John for your answer!
Can you tell me if MCSC is doing fail over only, or some kind of load
balancing?

If you're going with only one copy of the data, then a traditional
shared
storage MSCS cluster is what you want. NLB is not appropriate because
only
one server can control the disk at any time.
If you want to add replication, then cluster the DFS root and use
redundant
leaf shares.

Hello,
I'm new to clustering, but here's what I wan't to achieve:
A fileserver with High Availability and load balancing.
I don't want to replicate the data. I would rather want to share
the
SAN
with 2 servers, so in case one fail, the other take the lead, and
load
balance the traffic between the 2 servers.
Can this setup be done with 2 servers only?
