Moving the Quorum is easy, use the cluster administrator. You can safely move it during daily operations. Any drive will do.
The Quorum should indeed be a dedicated LUN.
Put in a dedicated LUN for the Quorum, make it 1GB in size. Then expand your current D LUN.

I have two questions in one here but they are related. I have a cluster
share physical Disk D that currently is the quorum and has user shares, group
share, printers, etc. We are fast running out of storage space for our
users, less than 10GB. I also have a new disk array that is about 1TB that
we want to move everything to. Also available are some other disks that can
be put into an array. Questions:
1. What is the recommended process for moving the quorum?
2. Should the quorum be on its own separate SAN array?
3. What is the recommended process for moving the data to the new 1TB array
while still retaining the D drive designation within cluster admin? Backup,
change drive letters, restore?
Any recommendations/suggestions/advise would be much appreciated.
