Rodney,
The funny is that I started the call with HP Services and no one from their
support even said anything about Secure Path not being supported. I was
up front with them on everything when I started the support call.
I learned a lesson in all this, it is treat a service pack like an new OS
installation. Microsoft wants everyone to go to the latest and greatest
but vendors drag their feet to make their products support it.

Go back to my original post, vendor support is critical. See

Here was the deal - Microsoft got me an hotfix that replaced my
licdll.dll and it allowed us to install the service pack but.....
Our HP servers has Secure path running on it, this cause the server to go
into an endless loop of rebooting. So we have to wait until SecurePath
or their MPIO qualifies for Service Pack 2.

PSS has this issue right now.
They are saying that the server has too many hotfixes to apply Service
Pack 2. Hopefully they will come up with a solution or fix soon.

just tried 927891 and still nothing.

I ran the KB931940 and it does not detect any hotfixes that would

Yeah I know, it seems like it always happens to me.
Are you kidding about the test server, we are a small college we
have barely
enough money to buy production servers.
Everything that was on the server is SP2 compatible, I even run the
tool to
check to see if it is SP2.
space should not be an issue, we have 30 GB free.
Nothing in the event log, only thing that is showing anything is the
log to
the server pack. It is hanging on the backing up registry part
during the
installation.

Eric you always have most interesting issues. I hope this is a
test cluster
and your hardware vendor has blessed SP2 already. I know EMC has
not - yet.
What is running on this cluster? How much space is left on the C
Drive?
Anything in the event log?
