Re: private network setup on 4-node cluster

Where can you buy and get support for hub today? Vlaning a switch is the
best option. Manageability is huge for HA.

True, it does not matter, however:

- a switch need to be configured / maintained, and with a misconfiguration
you can "down" your private network
a hub however is not configurable, and therefore would lower the risk.
(isn't it all about lowering risk ?)

Many people prefer hubs for heart-beat / private networks.

kinda dumb question but I guess if you don't know, you ask :)

How do I connect a 4-node cluster private network?
Do I use a Hub or a cisco switch or something else?

I know in a 2-node cluster I use a cross-over cable.
But for 3 or more nodes how do I physically connect the servers to
create
a
private network?

thanks
