Backing Up Cluster (file server)

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

We have a two node cluster active/passive and it is being used as a
file server.

We have a backup policy that backups all the user data (shared drives)
on our virtual server.

We also have policies to backup all local drives on both nodes. Is
that overkill?

I'm thinking maybe on the nodes just backup the C: drive and the system
state. Backing up all the local drives gets the user data again on the
active node.

What do you all think?

Thanks for your help

Tom
