Mixing 32 and 64 bit machines in cluster

Becuase of some application support issues I need to take my 64-bit cluster
to a 32-bit OS. Can I simply rebuild a node as a 32-bit host one by one to
do this? Will there be an issue with having a mix of 64-bit and 32-bit
nodes for a period of time?
