Hi,
Can anyone answer my below questions? Sorry but I know nothing about
clustering/fault tolerance....
We are in the process of arranging some servers. 2 webservers and a database
server.
If we decided to link both webservers together for fault tolerance, do we.
- need a domain.
- need a specific version of windows 2003 server ( we were thinking on
getting web edition )
- require any specific hardware/software for the installation.
- require the database server to be clustered into the system as well or can
this sit outside the 2 webservers cluster?
in terms of network load balancing is this purly something that is done Per
system or can i configure the cluster to load balance? as the only
experiance i have had of LB is on one server with 2 network cards that are
load balanced together.
TIA,
H
.
