Using Veritas makes it more difficult to troubleshoot issues with cluster
disks. Because you're using the Veritas resources for disks, the cluster
logs Veritas specific information/error messages in the logs and you need to
go directly to Veritas to decipher these messages. It's an added pain.
I've seen bad things happen when using dynamic disks in a SAN. I would
recommend avoiding the use of dynamic disks whenever possible.

Are there specific problems that you have seen with Veritas? Our SAN
people like it because it makes their job easier for expanding space,
but if it's going to cause problems then so far as I'm concerned it
doesn't make it worth the extra effort. Like you say, I'm not keen on
extra layers of complexity if they're not warranted.
