Yeah & make sure the firmware/driver update is the certified driver for your
SAN frame and switches.

I have seen firmware/bios updates reveal that perfectly working hardware is
actually bad.

I found something new today. One of the HBA link went down and Its showing
up
the volume now when I restarted again. Now I will have to figure out
whats
wrong with that HBA eventhough it passess through all the diagnostic. I
had
upgarded the firmware and driver for the HBA too. There are two HBAs in
that
server exactly similar. I used exactly the same process to upgrade
firmware
and driver for both of them. The other one is working fine.

Is it active on the node it's not showing up? Sounds like it lost its
drive
letter somehow. Given you tinkered with a switch though I'm leaning
towards
you need to double check all your zoning configs on the switch.

I have an exchange2k3 active/passive 2-node win2k server cluster.
I upgraded firmware in one of the SAN switch. After that the SAN
volume
storing Exchange Database does not show up in My Computer. However, it
appears in the windows disk management view with healthy status and
exchange
is running fine. The cluster failover also works fine when I restart
the
node. I will appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks
Sonia
