Re: NIC binding order

When multiple network adapters are installed in each host, one adapter
should be configured for NLBtraffic and the other for regular network
traffic. When using multiple adapters, you should configure only one
adapter for use by NLB.
If you want traffic to come into the NLB NIC then all subsequent traffic to
go out of the second NIC, set the binding order and metric of the NLB NIC to
2. As a result, you will need to set the binding order and metric for the
second NIC to 1.
The Default Gateway, in a two NIC scenario, is an important setting. If you
check IPCONFIG and you notice that the Default Gateway is set on both NICs
and its a different IP address, this will probably cause you problems. MS
recommends that you pick one Default Gateway and set it on the second
regular network traffic NIC, leaving the Default Gateway setting on the NLB
NIC blank.
Hope that helps,

Hi,
In a NLB cluster with 2 nodes, each node with two adapters, which adapters
should be first in the binding order?
Thanks in advance.
