Hi Tony,
if everything goes well there should be no impact on clustered resources (of
course if there are no resources that are dependant on it). It should behave
as it would if you move cluster resource group to passive node - take
offline and then bring online on another node.

I want to change the Quorum resource that my 2 node SQL cluster uses. I
want to change it to use another drive. It looks nice and straightforward
from the Cluster Administrator in that I can just right click the Cluster
name then go to properties\Quorum and select the new resource from the drop
down list. The new drive that we plan to use is a shared drive as is the
old/current Quorum drive. My question is what is the impact if any of
changing the Quorum resource ?. Is there any downtime or interruption of
service involved during the change or is it non impacting ?
Thanks in advance
Tony Dawson
