To clarify your question, your servers are Windows Server 2003 Web Edition?
and you are attempting to configure NLB? Not MSCS? And the Windows
Firewall service either has the appropriate exceptions or is disabled?

I have two 2003 enterprise web servers sitting in a DMZ. They both have two
NICs. One NIC is configured with TCP/IP services only and has access to
ports
80 and 443 (via firewall) to the outside. The second NIC is allowed access
to
the private network for data retrieval. NetBIOS is disabled on both cards.
Host file points to the DNS server and Domain Controller. The web servers
were joined to the domain and then moved into the DMZ. I'm trying to
configure NLBC on the NICs pointing to the outside world and am getting
nowhere. The wizard fails with an unable to locate domain error and
manually
configuring the NLBC results in the Cluster Wizard not seeing the cluster.
I
have all kinds of documentation on how to set up a cluster but they all
say
something different and some show windows I never see in Cluster Manager.
Anybody have reliable documentation on setting up a cluster for web
servers
or can see my error in the above description of my setup?
