Eric,
Assigning drive letters alone is not enough. Cluster uses a disks signature
to identify the physical disk resource so when you swap out storage, the new
disk will have a different signature.
You state, "cluster is out"...do you mean cluster service is stopped,
disabled, or uninstalled? If you mean stopped, I would expect the O/S to
report that all disks are unreadable. If you disable the cluster disk driver
(or uninstall MSCS), this should give you access to the disks.

John

Hi everybody,
We want to migrate our cluster to a new IBM storage system (ficber
channel) faster than the actual one.
Here is what I did:
1°) backup the luns on the actuel IBM ESS
2°) connect the server to the new one and restore the Quorum disk. I
also attached the new luns using the same drive letters as the
previous luns
3°) apparently mscs didn't like that as it didn't see the quorum on
the new lun
3°) I decide to go back to the old storage: ALL MY DISKS ARE NOW IN
ERROR: STATUS UNREADABLE
Even if the cluster is out, Windows should still be able to access the
luns again no ?
Sorry if it isn't very clear. It isn't for me either.
Thanks.
Eric.
