I am sorry that you have such a differing opinion. I strongly believe in
going the extra mile to not only help my customer meet their business
requirements, I also help them to define those requirements when there
appear to be problems with them.

In my eyes, I provided to the customer a transparent migration from 400
OS/2 Server to Windows 2000. Also, I provided HA to critical services.
They requested FTP in the servers. It is their requirement and I do not
see a problem.

I would have right there. Security best practices should have made you perk
your head up on that one. FTP is a problem child when it comes to security.

They had more than 4000 servers (Mainframes, Unix, OS/2, other) using this
operational procedures and it was up to them to decide and force to any
vendor to provide the service they requested.
Honestly, I still do not understand your concerns.

See above. FTP on each and every server is a big time no-no when it comes to
security.

I look at my sales and consulting engagements as educational
opportunities and often ask the question, "If I could show you a better
way to do that, would you be interested in hearing about it and
discussing it?"

Agree. But it was out of discussion doing so in the moment of presenting
proposals and implem,enting the project

It was only out of discussion because you let it be. This is where we
disagree. The customer is not always right in my opinion. The customer needs
to be guided and helped. If they knew what they were doing, you wouldn't
have been there to begin with.

Microsoft Services Spain does think like you.

I take that as a compliment.
