Re: NTFS permissions on cluster share? Illogical!!!

Yes we have read over these articles and alot of the other links on each of
these...

The shares themselves seem to work just fine...Can move data groups and
quorum to the other node with no issues...

As mentioned, the NTFS permissions do not seem to work as expected...

----------

For instance:

On a user's home directory (which was created automatically when populated
in user account via ADUC), the NTFS permissions are set as follows:

Administrators (local) - full control
(actual network user account) - full control
CREATOR OWNER - full control
SYSTEM - full control
Users (local) - read/execute, list folder contents, Read

*** Yet other NETWORK users can see this folder AND actual create and delete
the files they created within this directory or subfolders...they can not
delete files they don't 'own' however ***

--------

The only line in the documentation that is unclear if it has any bearing on
the issue is: "The Cluster Service account needs to have at least Read
permissions."

Is this required so that the Cluster Service can "police" the NTFS
security??? The NTFS security is set via Windows Explorer so I was under
the impression that this was not the case...

Any thoughts?

Shawn
