W32Time will not start

I am running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition. It is a member of a two
node cluster. I tried to install service pack 1, and everything stopped
working. I removed sp1 from both nodes, and am able to get node 2 to
function correctly. On node 1, the clustering service won't start due to a
failure in the w32time service. When I try to start the w32time service, I
get the following error.
"The executable program that this service is configured to run, does not
start the service"
I have spent the last 4 hours scouring the internet for any information on
what may be causing this, and have found nothing.
I have tried the following.
w32tm.exe /unregister, reboot, w32tm.exe /register, reboot. The problem
persists. I am at a loss on this one, and would appreciate any help.
