Don't get me wrong, there are some known issues with certain hardware
drivers. The point that I was trying to make (sorry, I wasn't clear) is that
you always need to test before going into production with any major change
like this, and a true test environment should always be spec'ed out when
building a high availability production environment. By "true test
environment" I mean one that clearly mirrors the production environment.
Elden also made it clear that you should always involve your hardware
manufacturers to see if they have any issues when performing such upgrades.
Supportability is vital when dealing with high availability environments.
Between testing and vendor communication, a problem as described should
never happen.
