    Thanks for posting!

    The clusterrecovery.exe is a resource kit tool and is not supported.
    Detailed specification can be referred in the clusterrecovery.chm file
    shipped in the resource kit tool pack.

    However, I am glad to share some of my understanding.

    This clusterrecovery tool is just a tool like dumpcfg and added some user
    interface for you to replace the disk in a more convenient way.

    It will dump the disk signature of the original disk and write to the new
    disk.

    It will not change the disk signature of the original disk as it is
    supposed to be offline and corrupted.

    If you want the original disk to be used again, just reformat it and
    connect it back to the cluster as a new disk resource.
