This is not an answer to your main question that what you see is due to
driver or clustering and you may have to re-post your question to get
attention.
I am not too clear from your post if you get error when you are installing
the driver or when you are creating the resource or when bringing it online
etc. You can check this for steps:

This is what I want to make clear for you:
For printer to work you need to create printer spooler resource on the
cluster and for that you need to have a shared disk. MNS will not help you
in that. See the requirement for spooler:
