Hello,

Have you checked your account permissions etc as well as policy settings? What account are you using for the cluster service on each node? I have seen a similar problem that was also
related to having different NTLM levels from one node to the other. Try dumbing down the policy settings and NTLM security to the basic just to see if that resolves it and then you increase the
security levels again if they are able to join at that time.

In addition, you may want to try to force a cleanup on that second node and attempt the join again to ensure that there is nothing left behind preventing it from it's previous attempts to join.

| Hello everyone.
|
| I'm taking my first stab at configuring a cluster, and
| I've run into a snag.
|
| I managed to get all my hardware up and running (the
| array is connected to both server, both servers see it
| just fine, private network is installed, public network
| is same as it's always been, etc, etc, etc)
|
| I've got server "A" up and running as the first node.
| I try to add server "B" to the cluster, and get this
| enigmatic error:

| Checking the log for more information didn't shed a whole
| lot of light either:

| Soooo. . . what brave soul wants to take a crack at this
| one?
|
| Both servers are Win2k3 Advanced. However, the one note
| I might add is that server A was purchased with 2k3,
| server B was upgraded from win2k standard and had a bumpy
| ride through the upgrade process. I'm guessing this is a
| bump I hadn't found yet.
|
| :-/
|
| Thanks in advance.
