Hello Mike,
Overread D2 in your posting, nice to hear that it worked.

Hi,
The folder scripts into SYSVOL was missing, I created it, netlogon is
now
shared.
It's ok now.
I made a mistake by setting BurFlags to D2 , I had to set D4. SYSVOL
as been purged and I had to recreate the group policy and logon script
but all is fine.
I still have to resolve a W23Time issue but it seems that the problem
comes from the firewall.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Best regards,
Mike

Hello Mike,
Have a look on this one also:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257338
So you have only one DC in the domain and never had another one
before? Then you should add a second DC/DNS/GC to the domain for
failover and redundancy reason asap.

Thank you Paul & Meinolf,
As explained in the kb and regarding the infrastructure topology (
only one server ), the problem seems to be +- solved by updating the
regkey BurFlags from 0 to D2.
Sysvol share apprears and the logon works on the stations. I am now
looking for the missing netlogoon share.
Any idea ?
Best regards,
Mike

Hello Mike,
If the articles posted from Paul doesn't help, please give some
more infos about the domain setup, total amount of DCs and how they
are located. Additional some infos how you have DNS configured in
the domain. Additional make sure that all machines use only domain
DNS servers on the NIC and not any ISPs DNS server.
It is not recommended to run Exchange on Domain controllers, so if
you have solved the sysvol/netlogon problem you should think about
moving it to a member server. DCs should only do there basic job,
AD/DNS/GC and maybe DHCP, that's it. That way you can demote it if
needed without any problem, IF ADDITIONAL DC/GC/DNS servers exist
in the domain.
Best regards

hello people,
I have one DC / GC running on W2K3 std SP2 server. Today netlogon
and
sysvol
shares are missing. Users can't logon on their computers. I've
restarted the
server and succesfully loged on with domain administrator
credentials.
I
must precise that on the same server exchange 2003 is installed.
I don't know where to start looking.
Do you have any idea?
many thanks in advance
mike
