Sorry, if it's wanting a bind DN, remember that this would be the as per
example:
ldap_bind_dn='CN=LDAPUser,OU=servicesaccounts,OU=headoffice,DC=YOURNETBIOSDOMAIN,DC=LOCAL'
Remember if the account resides in the default Users OU, the syntax in
CN=USERS , not OU= since it is built-in to Active Directory from the
installation of the domain

Hello all,
I've got a Canon iRC5185 on my Windows 2003 AD domain. TCP/IP settings on
the iRC5185 are set statically including primary and secondary DNS servers.
LDAP is enabled on the machine which points to a third AD server. When
using the "send" feature (when sending a scanned image for example), the
Network Address book on the iRC5185 worked like a charm until.... The
catalog server failed.
An alternate AD server had the appropriate FSMO roles installed which
alleviated the problem of the failure. The iRC5185 however still "times
out" when searching the Network Address Book. After selecting 'ok' after
the search failure, the appropriate results are displayed. Regardless of
the final result, the search timeout needs to be resolved.
Any tips or suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
