This server has Sophos installed for Antivirus. This is strictly a
file server so the only other apps installed are Commvault 7.0 backup
agent, LiveVault backup agent(service disabled), TreeSize, Veritas
Enterprise Vault, and Microsoft Silverlight. I called Sophos support
and they suggested that we exclude remote scanning on all of our
Antivirus policies which we did. Our users are stlll seeing the issue.
When the issue occurred previously we reinstalled Sophos and also
rebooted the server. The issue seemed like it was resolved but has
cropped up again. Whenever this happens Commvault has an issue with
the backup as well. When we backup this file server we use a block
level backup agent. THis agent requires a snapshot of the Microsoft
File System Table in order to perform file level restores and it has
issues creating this snapshot so we cannot perform any file level
restores. The File fragmentation is around 73%. There is about 1TB of
data on this files server.
