Using GPO to Remotely Install Software

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hello, I have read a kb article regarding this but have a couple of questions
that I was hoping someone would be able to help me out with?

Does the package have to be a .msi package? Can it be a setup.exe file
instead?
Can it be a .msp package so that if I need to issue a patch I can use this
mechanism?

Thanks in advance!

Tim
