Yes all are set to Windows 2003 level.

Hi All,

I have a main domain called mydomain.local where we have created
several universal groups. And i have a sub domain sub1.mydomain.local
where it's only possible to see the groups that is created in the
sub1.mydomain.local domain. I'm able to make a user from
sub1.mydomain.local member in a Universal group if i do it when
located in the mydomain.local domain. I can however not see the group
membership if i open the User object from Users And Coumputers in the
sub1.mydomain.local domain.

Is that correct or have we missed som setup here.

That's because the child domain administrator does not have access to the
user properties in the root (or any other) domain. However, you are able to
add the Universal group to any resource in any domain.

Are all domains and the forest functional set to Windows 2003?
