well initially not sure on which server check for Event IDs, but for
the sake of my own R&D, i have checked Event IDs 2112 and 2114 in App.
Event Log on all three servers, that is, DC ,ADC and Exchange Server
2003. I have found NONEof them using filter view of event viewer.

Hello S H A R I Q U E,

Yes, you can only have one server there. Just wanted to make sure
that one of your DC's is listed.

Do you have any errors in the application event log, for example
2112, 2114?

Here you are. Please follow this link to see snapshop of RUS
http://rapidshare.com/files/175715878/Exch_GC.JPG.html

in RUS there is only DC is listed that is my DC holding GC role not
ADC.
hostname of First DC is IOPGW
So, it does not list ADC there.

Hello S H A R I Q U E,

Can you ping the additional DC with ip, computer name and FQDN?

Have you rebooted the server after making it GC?

Is the second DC in the same site?

Which one is listed in ESM, recipients update service?

I am running Exchange 2003 Ent. Edition SP2 on member server. I
have one DC holding all five operation master roles and other ADC
holding GC role. Both DC and ADC hold GC role. In ReplMon, it
shows successfull status of replication and also in Active
Directory SITE and Services console. However, When i shutdown DC
and let ADC turned-on, exchange services does not start. I have
added alternante DNS of ADC in exchange server TCP/IP settings.
Still, it does not start. What crucial piece of configuration I am
missing in order to start MS Exchange Server 2003 services in
absence of domain controller but in presence of ADC holding GC
role.

regards
