Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I don't seem to have a netlogon.dnb or .dns... I only have the DLL.

Unfortunately, the domain controller failed during the rename! This

WTGDC01.centralholidays.com.' failed on the following DNS server:

DNS server IP address: 154.15.251.166
Returned Response Code (RCODE): 5
Returned Status Code: 9017

I'm not sure where that DNS server IP is coming from. Its not one of
ours. Additionally, its still trying to register to wtg.com. I'm not
sure why.

Hmm, where did that come from? (Asking myself out loud). That thing
resolves to a DNS server in Germany:
Name: pri1.dns.psinet.de
Address: 154.15.251.166

Also, by changes, does that IP show up in any of the zone properties,
Nameservers tab? If so, delete it.

Did you change the Primary DNS Suffix on the machine to centralholidays.com?

I believe the reason why it is trying to register into that zone is because
the wtg.com zone belongs to someone in Germany and the zone no longer exists
on your DNS. Take a look at this nameserver lookup:

wtg.com
Non-authoritative answer:
wtg.com nameserver = pri1.dns.psinet.de
wtg.com nameserver = pri2.dns.psinet.de
wtg.com nameserver = pri3.dns.psinet.de

pri1.dns.psinet.de internet address = 154.15.251.166
pri2.dns.psinet.de internet address = 154.15.251.170
pri3.dns.psinet.de internet address = 154.15.251.174

If you don't have a forwarder configured, please configure one to 4.2.2.2.

Also, I would like you to run these steps to possibly clean it up:
1. Rename c:\windows\system32\Netlogon.dnb and Netlogon.dns to .dns.old and
..dnb.old
2. Delete Netlogon.dnb and Netlogon.dns on the same machine
3. Reboot Computer
4. Check system log for any errors
