-This action may bake other things, why you need this? Generally speaking there's no reason to not allow the users to haveread access to most of the objects. Of course there're exceptions. Bu remember that sometimes users need to have read access to other objects outside their ou, for example, GPOs, contacts, other users attributes like department, phone, etc...
-To restrict read access to AD or a given OU, you need to deny the read right.
