I have already started making those changes. Thanks.

Rather than looking for the safe way to correctly change the admin
password without impacting service, I'd suggest that you revisit your
design and processes and make sure that there is NO service or process
using that account for anything. You may hear or read that xyz
application/tool must be run in the context of the built-in admin. If you
come across any such document or advice, you can safely ignore it.

It is the same as changing a password on any other user account. The
only
thing you have to be careful of is what services, scheduled jobs etc it
might
be running. It looks like you have already considered this however.

One piece of advice is to use different accounts to run your services.
This
would make this process easier in the future. Plus do the all services
really need to run with Domain Administrator privileges?

We need to change the domain administrator password. Can anyone
provide
some advice on the best way to do this? We have a 2003 AD domain with
2 DCs
and 4 member servers. I know there are some services that are logging
on
with the domain password that I need to track down.

Thanks!
