Re: to use address book , pc out of domain

Hello Riccardo,

Did you try it out on the non-domain computer to login with the 5 users and configure outlook to access the AD address book?

Best regards

Hello Riccardo,

If the users are working on a non-domain computer, they should be
able to add the address book like described with there domain user
account, because all domain user accounts are able to read in AD. I
can not really understand the question.

Hello Riccardo,

You can not assign permissions to non-domain users this way i
think, then you have to make them domain members.

Hello Riccardo,

You can go to Tools, Email accounts and check under Directory
"Add a new address book ", choose Next, Internet Directory
service, specify the server and logon information.

Can I configure MS Outlook 2003 to use ActiveDirectory address
book without avoiding to put client into Microsoft domain ?

If I have 5 domain users, Can I create in AD a contact group which
can
be seen only from these specific users ?
I'm going to grant rights to see these contacts only for 5 users.
It's possibile ? how ?
Yes, I said domain users. Excuse me but I'm refering to another
environment,
where users are in MS domain. How can I assign to these only 5
domain
users the permission
to see address book in AD ?
Example,
I have 100 AD users in Microsoft domain called "mydomain.it",
If I have 5 AD users and I want to use them to log in to my pc.
My problem is to configure active directory to permit to these 5 AD
users to see
address book.At the beginning I said non domain users but now I'm
interesting to domain users !
