Thanks for the upgrade suggestion. Problem is (and the reason for
getting a new server) is our old Win2k Server was setup incorrectly,
long before I took over IT at our division. Much to small space for
C:. We cannot even install utilities such as Symantec AntiVirus or
anything else on C:. I even have to clean out Win Update backups
occasionally so new update can install.

We will have to migrate the Win2k Active Directory or just create the
Win200x Active Directory from scratch.

I noted that the Win2k Active Directory cam be exported to a LOG or
CSV file. I was hoping I could import one of these into a Win200x
Active Directory.

I have never setup a server. My knowledge in servers as of now is
hands-on and limited to operation.

At work, my division, is due to get a new server to replace our
ancient Win2k Server.

Question: Is it possible to transfer a Win2k Server Active Directory
into a Windows Server 2003 or 2008 Active Directory? I'm talking
about the contents. And, please, what would the procedure be IF
possible.

If this were possible, it would be much faster than having to rebuild
the Active Directory for our desktop users from scratch.

Or Win2k Server Active Directory is named "AD" and I am planning to
name the Windows 200x Active Directory "MV" (?).

I would expect to have to go through and verify/change various Active
Directory settings after transfer.
