Re: Deleted printers still showing up

Hello Lord,

In ADUC change the view to "User,Groups and computers as containers", mark the print server and in the right pane you can check if the old one is still listed, if yes delete it there.

Best regards

I have deleted 3 printers off one print server and replaced them with
three new ones. However, when customers are trying to install the
printers and do a search to find the printers for their location, two
of the three printers are still showing up. What was also strange, it
took rebooting the print server before the new printers would show up
in the search. If you try to install one of the deleted printers from
the search, it will error out saying can not connect to device. I've
check AD replication to make sure there were no problems there. All
dc's are replicating fine. Typically after I delete a printer and
reinstall a new one, the old one goes away and the new one shows up in
the searches. It is not a huge issue, but one that I would like to
find a solution to as it causes unnecessary calls to the Help Desk
because people are attempting to install the wrong printer. Any help
would be appreciated.
