Re: Moving DC from one data center to another

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hello Newbie,

If both are in the same site changing the ip's and reboot should be enough. Do not forget to change the clients ip addresses for the new DNS. If both are in different subnets you have also to reconfigure AD sites and services for the new subnets and move the DC's to the belonging sites.

Best regards

Hi,

We'll be moving 2 DCs from one data center to another, subnet and IPs
will be changed. Do I need to do anything aside from changing the IP
addresses? Would the integrated AD DNS take care of the new IP change
automatically?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
