Hello J,
Did you enable and try out this policy:
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group Policy "Allow Cross-Forest User Policy and Roaming User Profiles"

Nevermind; I see what the problem is: apparently, you can't specify a
Start Menu location for a global group from another domain in a GPO,
which is what I was trying to do. Sorry I didn't explain that better
in the initial comment.
I also noticed that you can't specify a Start Menu location for a
domain local group. If that worked then you could add global groups
from a trusting domain to a local group and give them a start menu
that way. Oh well.

Hello J,
Please describe how you setup the trust, what kind of trust and how
DNS is configured for the trust.

Hi,
On my Windows 2003 AD domain I have an external trust going to an AD
domain in another forest. I want to give users from the trusted
domain access to resources in my domain. However, when I click on
the Locations... button, I can only see my domain. This appears to
be the case only on the domain controllers - I see the other domain
just fine from my member servers. Is there maybe something in the
Default Domain Controllers GPO which is blocking my being able to
see the other domain?
Thanks,
Jamie
