Removing Windows Domain

Hello

I need to remove a domain from our network. We currently have two domains,
domain A (HEAD OFFICE) & domain B (BRANCH OFFICE). Domain A was the first
one set up, with domain B, being set up as a child domain under the original
forest somewhat later. Domain B I need to remove, we run windows 2003 server
(mixture of enterprise/standard &r2. Domain A & B are in different AD sites
(they are in geographically seperate buildings) and are linked by a 5mb P2P
wireless connection.

This domain has only 1 server which is a DC/FS/PS etc. I have read some
instructions on the technet website on how to remove a domain but I'm not
sure on a few issues:-

1. Can I remove the domain quite easily during working hours - or would i be
asking for trouble!
2. Domain A hosted the emails for Domain B (ie the mailboxes are on an
exchange 2003 enterprise server in domain A, but the user accounts are in
domain B). Would this cause any issues; i understand that the removal of
active directory will delete all user accounts (i am not worried about
losing the emails though). I am mainly interested in that we do not affect
the running of our head office site.

Thanks

Matt
