Thanks Masterplan. And can a password be changed for a member server and
workstation? All that I've read so far is that only the password of a DC can
be changed.
I'm referring to:
c> netdom resetpwd /server:memberserver /userd:account /passwordD:password
Thanks much!

Hi Charles,.
You can change it for member workstations and servers. Here is a link about

Hi All:
Can you change password of a machine account for a Windows 2003 member
server using netdom? I ran into some info that machine account passwords
could only be changed on domain controllers.
The reason for this is because we were doing DR testing. We failed over and
then failed back. When failing back we tried to use the same machine
account but got access denied when trying to use this same machine account.
We reset the account first.
Any ideas?
Thanks much!
