You can turn the firewall to be off when the client is connected to the
domain, in Computer Config\Admin Templates\Network Connections\Windows
Firewall\Domain Profile\Protect all network connections: disable

Hello,
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I would like to ask a
question pertaining to Group Policy. We have a GPO currently set up (by
using the default admin templates), which configures our firewall settings
for Windows XP SP2 machines.
We have been advised to turn off the firewalls for machines we are
updating
our antivirus software on. Is there an option to turn the firewall off
via
GPO, or does anyone have a better suggestion?
