Hi Meinolf,
I have tested the server hardware with the HP test disk that came with the
server, every possible test, but no errors. Is reinstalling Win the only
option now?

Tom

Hello Tom,.
I would do some hardware checks from the Smartstart disk, there are tools
for intensiv testing of the server. Even it is the same point when the blue
screens appear, i think it is more hardware related.

I would like those of you that have a lot of experience with Widows
Server 2003 to read this and may be give me some hints on what to do.
Hardware:
HP Proliant ML115 Server
2 GB RAM
446 GB HD with Nvidia RAID5 nForce 590/570/550 Serial ATA Controller
C: System partition 35 GB NTFS
D: Data partition 411 GB NTFS
Graphic card Matrox G200e
Software:
Windows 2003 Server ENG
Nvidia MediaShield
Problem: (and the only problem so far)
The system blue-screens when I try to add the AD component to the
system. If
I look in the DCPROMO-log, the last line read "Setting the LSA policy
information", then it dies. I have of course run DCPROMO several times
but
the result stays the same.
Could you please give some advice on what to try to do next? I gues
this is not a common problem or error.
Regards,
Tom
