Hi Meinolf,
Ok, to answer your questions, we have an active directory integrated
DNS, with the DHCP server giving the new global catalog server as the
source for DNS. The test workstation receives an address...
Address: x.x.25.103
SM: 255.255.240.0
GW: x.x.16.253
DHCP Server: x.x.16.14
DNS Server: x.x.16.16 (Dns server and DC, Global Catalog)
When I run the gpresult I see it gets GP from this DC.
All seems to apply except folder redirection... which is weird.

Hello Ken,
Please describe more detailed the steps that you have done. Also
post how many DC's you have now and before your "migration". Also
how is your DNS setup? How many DNS server and which kind of zone do
you use. At last post an ipconfig from the new one, the old one's if
exist and one problem client.
Best regards

Hi Everyone,
We migrated our GC server (or did our best to, I think it took
everything) from our original domain controller in a Windows
2000/2003 domain to a Windows 2003 Server. All appears well, I
have found nothing obvious that is wrong with the migration
process, yet my users who have folder redirection turned on for
their desktop folder quit working soon after the conversion.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Other aspects of the
same GPO take effect as they should, but the redirection of the
Desktop folder does not work any longer.
Any suggestions appreciated... Ken
.
