migration or upgrade? two different things!

for upgrade see:
http://blogs.dirteam.com/blogs/jorge/archive/2005/11/19/What-information-is-available-when-UPGRADING-from-W2K_2F00_E2K-to-W2K3-_2800_R2_29002F00_E2K3_3F00_.aspx
(not yet complete for w2k8 upgrades, but a lot if info still aplies)

for migration see:

(for W2K3 migration it is preferred to use ADMTv31, which is not yet available if I'm not mistaken)

Hi,

I have an AD 2000 and I would like to know how can I migrate to AD 2003 or
2008.
Where must I run adprep?

Thanks.

Luiz
