what do you want to achieve?
restore objects?
restore the whole server?
to schedule stuff you can use WBADMIN.EXE
if you want to created ad snapshots you can use NTDSUTIL. For that also see:

Hello everyone, (re-posting this question)
Is there anyway to schedule the system state backups on a Windows Server 2008? I found out that the only way to accomplish that backup is using the WBADMIN cmd tool and there's no graphic option.
I cannot use a .bat file with the task scheduler because the command line requires for confirmation when it runs.
Anyone with a solution for this???
Thanks!
