I have never heard of such a limit, I would be interested to see this. You
can run into problems with token size is the only thing I have heard.

Why would you need to be a part of 1000+ groups? This sounds rather
extreme.

thanks for that. Doing some reading I see a hard limit of 1015 groups a
user can be a member of. Any suggestions on how to get around that?
