Official Microsoft Rollback support for schema upgrades

Hi,

Would like to know if there is an official rollback scenario supported by
Microsoft for a roll-back plan after a failed schema update...

This is for management only, I know technically how to do it, but need an MS
article or White-paper backing this up...
