RE: FRSDiag v1.7 Tool, some error in AD 2003

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

From the FRSDiag log, it is apparent that the two crucial junction points
(reparse point) is corrupted. So first, please verify that the file
structure and junction points are correct.

To do this, follow these steps:

Verify that the following shared folders exist in the SYSVOL tree:

\SYSVOL\SYSVOL\Domain Name
There is a junction point must be linked to the \SYSVOL\domain folder.

\SYSVOL\staging areas\Domain Name
There is a junction point must be linked to the \SYSVOL\staging\domain
folder.

If those two folders can't be accessed, please follow the steps below to
repair the junctions points:

1. In the command prompt, type ntfrsutl ds |findstr /i "root stage", and
then press ENTER. The NTFRSUTIL command returns the current root
directory for the SYSVOL replica set that is referred to as the "replica
set root" and the staging folder.

If the SYSVOL folder hasn't been moved
manually, this command should return:

Root: C:\WINNT\SYSVOL\domain
Stage: C:\WINNT\SYSVOL\staging\domain

2. Type "Linkd %systemroot%\SYSVOL\SYSVOL\Domain name
%systemroot%\SYSVOL\domain" (replace the Domain Name with your
current domain name), and then press
ENTER. The LINKD command returns the following:

Link created at:
systemroot%\SYSVOL\SYSVOL\Domain name

3. Type "Linkd %systemroot%\SYSVOL\staging areas\Domain
Name %systemroot%\SYSVOL\staging\domain" (replace the Domain
Name with your current domain name), and
then press ENTER. This command returns the following:

Link created at:
systemroot%\SYSVOL\staging areas\Domain Name

Then, try to run FRSDiag again to check how it works.

Hope it helps.

Sincerely,
Miles Li
