Re: Multiple Domain Administrators with different Roles

Hello AU,

Rghtclick the folder with your admin user, security tab, advanced, Ownership tab and choose take ownership, then you are the owner of the folder. Now you can again configure the permissions of the folder again, even you are not in the shown list.

Well What I did was.

I created a new Group called Admin, I then added them to the
Administrators group.

Under a shared folder, i then removed the Administrators group, and
specfically added the Administrator user.

And then I logged in with my user account ,which is a member of the
administrators group, and I tried accessing the folder, and it
woudlnk't let me, this is what I want to acehive, because in the
permissions I specfically put the Administrator user name.

So I alraeady found a solution to my issue :)

Hello AU,

If they are domain admins, no way. Even if you configure some
settings, they can always revert this. You have to think about, which
people becomes administrator and have to live with the consequence
that they can do everything.

Hello,

In our domain, I would like 3 Administrators to admin the network
and deal with workstations, group policy, dhcp and dns.

However, I would like only 1 Administrator to have the ablity to
deal with creating files/folders and basically viewing files.

I want to seperate the role. Basically I only want one of the Admins
able to access the senstive data.

How can I achieve this?
