I have an user that accesses multiple computers in their group, all
with the same software. This user also uses a laptop where the
software is drastically different and requires a specificly setup
desktop, outlook setup, etc. I don't want this laptops settings to
affect their profile on the other computers and vice versa.
If this is just for a single user on a single computer, the easiest thing
would be to have the user log in once without the roaming profile path
defined (temporarily remove it in ADUC) and then go to control panel |
system | advanced, and find/change the profile type from Roaming to Local.
Then log out. Put the path back in ADUC and you should be good to go. You
can then log in as the user again & tweak the generic/default profile -
nothing in the profile should be uploaded/downloaded at login.

I am setting up some most users with roaming profiles, however there
are a couple of computer where I do not want users profiles to roam

users roaming profile?
What exactly do you want to happen when users login to these
computers, then?
