When you say main dc goes down are you saying you have more than 1 dc? If
that is the case you probably either only have 1 global catalog defined or
the clients don't have access to a second dns server.
Please define how many dc's you have, how many dns servers you have and are
they AD integrated and how is dns configured on your clients.

Hello,
Is it possible to make a fail over solution for a main DC ,how is
possible??
I am right now trying to design a new infrastructure for my company
where in need to implement windows 2003 server DC,now what happend if
the main DC got down,(no users can login to the account and so on...)
how to make a second windows 2003 server to pick up at that time.
Is there any thing to do like (clustering,,sub domains) what should i
need to implement to cross that type of fail overs.
Thank you
Melbin Mathew
